Peymon Mottahedeh, president of Freedom Law School, is embroiled in a lengthy tax court case with the IRS concerning tax years from 2001 to 2006, which began in 2011. Despite not filing or paying income taxes since 1993, he has never faced criminal charges from the IRS. Peymon argues that the IRS has failed to meet its burden of proof regarding tax assessments and has appealed unfavorable rulings to the Ninth Circuit. He believes the IRS is losing power and emphasizes the importance of knowledge in challenging their authority.
